Bandmark
About

A naming desk for musicians

Bandmark started from a simple frustration: most band name generators glue a random adjective to a random noun, promise names that "aren't taken", and leave the hard part (checking, choosing, agreeing) to you.

We wanted the opposite: names that follow how each scene really names itself, with a meaning or a pronunciation when they need one, a fast honest check, and a way for a band to decide together without anyone signing up for anything.

What we believe

  • Honesty over hype. We never say a name is unique or legally available. We show you evidence and let you judge.
  • Craft over volume. Every word list, pattern and rule was written by people who care about music, and every style is tested.
  • Private by default. Generation happens in your browser. Your shortlist stays on your device. No accounts.
  • Nothing hateful. Edgy is fine; slurs, hate imagery and real tragedies are filtered out.
